There's a few things you need to do and understand before joining the Somerset and Lockyer Lawnmower Racers Inc.

Step 1: Read the rule book
The Somerset and Lockyer Lawnmower Racers rule book serves as the definitive guide for enthusiasts and participants in lawnmower racing.

Step 2: Come and say g'day
We like to get to know those who are interested in joining the club. Make sure you keep an eye out for us at a local show, or come along to one of our private race days during our off peak performing season to say g'day and let us get to know you.
We know spare time can be hard to come by. If you're not able to make it to a race meet, get in touch with our President, Lachie Miners on 0478 029 274 for a chat.
If you have a race mower built, bring it along to one of our private race meets to give it a spin and have our Chief Scrutineer give it a once over to ensure it aligns with our rule book. This is an important step prior to racing at public shows with the Club.
Step 3: Review our membership fees
As listed in our rule book we have an Annual Membership fee which starts on 1 July and finishes on 30 June. The membership fees are are:
Adults - $100
Concession - $80 (must have proof)
Volunteer - Free
The annual membership fee is due my 31 July every year. If you have not paid your annual membership fee by this date, you are not classed as a current financial member of the club.
Public races are free for annual membership holders, however there is a race fee for private events which are:
Members - $10
Non-members - $20
Step 4: Submit your written interest in joining the club
